Night-marchers Opposition

Defend a Hawaiian town from waves of invading Night-marchers!

Simple First Person Tower Defense game, you play as a tourist visiting a unspecified Hawaiian Town, and are prompted by Kane and Lono, the Hawaiian gods of the Sun and Rain respectively, urging you to protect the town against a invasion of Night-marchers. You're given 5 tools to help you with this goal. Your first weapon is the fire hose, it can shoot both fire and water. The second weapon is the leiomano, meant to serve in close quarters combat. The third tool is a wooden mallet, used to build walls and barriers to slow the advancement of the Night-Marchers. The fourth tool is a torch, planting them will be useful so you can keep an eye on another part of the map. The fifth tool is a map, this tracks both your location and the location of any night-marchers.

Controls:

WASD - Movement

Space - Jump

Left click - Pick up and Use Items

Right click - Switch modes on certain tools

E - Begin the Night-Marcher Invasion

R - Reset Level

V - Noclip+Godmode

Developer Ramblings No. 1:

my dumbass didn't spend enough time to artpass this (I started doing it saturday :), so thats the reason the game looks like ASS. While programming the actual game, I may or may not have forgotten about the original "Rain or Shine" theme of the jam, so I had to tie the flame/water thrower gimmick back to that with the Kane/Lono dialogue at the start of the game.

I'm writing this 10 minutes before the deadline, I just slapped 3 sound effects in the game because I completely forgot about it, and the night marchers are still using their "placeholder" pill models, but T.B.H. I just want to submit this little video game for now. I might come back to this concept at a later date if enough people somehow enjoy this slop.

Developer Ramblings No. 2:

It has come to my attention that the theme was NOT "rain or SHINE," but rather "rain or SHRINE." My evening is TARNISHED.  I am formally apologizing to you, the reader, for this embarrassing mishap on my end. Atleast I can say I managed to make a game in a week. :) I will now be taking this title off the GWJ#58 page, I am SO SAD right now.
